Your donation helps today’s students prevent their own personal student loan crisis.

Lately, the idea of Student Loan Forgiveness has been making headlines – and for good reason. The current level of student debt in the U.S. is $1.6 trillion dollars. And according to the Education Data Initiative, the average federal student loan debt among Black and African American borrowers is $57,770, approximately $27,000 more than their white counterparts.

But what if we could substantially reduce, or even prevent student debt in the first place? That’s the mission behind College Money Matters, a nonprofit with a track record of reaching students with the information they need, presented in the ways they like.

Collegemoneymatters.org reaches over 9000 viewers a month with its engaging combination of games, articles, videos, and interactive exercises. It’s all free to users and takes no ads that might affect its content. But 9000 users is not enough. With financial support from individuals and organizations that want to help solve this problem, we can hope to greatly increase the number of students, counselors, parents and other influencers who turn to this resource for guidance and insight.

With your funding, we can reach many more students with timely and relevant information that is available in both English and Spanish, and accessible for those with special needs. We have a Gold Transparency rating on Candid/Guidestar.

Because we operate on small margins, your contribution will go a long way.
